Feedback from Parents and Children

I was struggling in certain areas with my maths and my mum got in touch with Parita to get me some tuition before the Year 6 SATS.
Parita made the lessons interesting and fun at the same time and she explained everything well and had lots of patience too! She taught me to believe in myself and even though I might struggle, there is always a way around it!

Lucian 11 – Child

I was feeling anxious when I realised that my child seemed to be struggling with his maths towards the end of Year 6 (SATS were fast approaching). I spoke to a few tutors about getting him last minute help with his maths and I decided to go with Parita as she phoned me and gave me immediate reassurance and insisted that it was never too late to get help for him. My son really enjoyed the few classes that he had with Parita and in that short time she gave my son confidence and belief in himself that he could tackle these SATS and he did indeed do just that. I would highly recommend Parita as a Tutor and her warm, caring personality is also a huge asset.

P 6 – Child

It was really fun and effective with LEAP. It helped me to pass my SATs which helped me to get into the high school wanted. It is better than the old place because they gave you work to do and you had to do it on your own.I really used to struggle with English, punctuation and subordinating clauses so miss gave a sheet with the curriculum areas of English and that’s how I got better and caught up.To me it was like extra homework which helped me to do more than I could have done. My mum and Miss together pushed me to do the best I can and the extra work does help. It helped me to focus better in class and helped me wake up on time. Miss taught me special strategies..

I’d like to take this opportunity to thank you for being such a remarkable teacher to Aleysha. I’m grateful for your patience and knowledge in writing and presentation skills, which you have passed on to Aleysha. I appreciate all the efforts you have put into every lesson. In addition, Aleysha has enjoyed your lesson s because of your passion in teaching. I hope that you continue to be inspiring because Aleysha has learnt a lot of things from you.You are a friendly and understanding tutor, which helped us communicate with you better.Aleysha got all the support she needed for both Maths and English, the workshop also helped her as she worked with another student. It helped her with her motivation as she used the strategies to helped others. I am really pleased with the results that I got with Parita.

Daksha – Mother

When P started with Leapeducate, she had already been in school for a year, but was not writing or forming letters. She could not sound out words correctly, or retain her phonics knowledge. Had issues with her speech.

Leap took the time to find out how P worked and what was needed to help her. Leap went back to basics and figured out that P would pick things up by rote learning, so it all started with just repetition of letters. Everyday P would get a sheet of letters to write over and to practise, when I look back to that and how she is writing now it is incredible, she is forming letters so well and keeps practising.

Phonics
We had to start from the beginning and see what level P was at, leap took the time to go through and find out where P was at and then move forward with strategies that would help her to retain her phonics knowledge, it also took a lot of repetition and it can be frustrating at time but this doesn’t seem to faze Parita she will always be patient and persevere and will introduce different strategies if she feels something is not working.

P has made a huge improvement from when she first started at Leap, and she is now much more confident in her reading, writing and speaking.

This has helped her immensely as initially she would not communicate much with her peers as she did not have the confidence to do so. Leap has helped me learn ways to teach my child according to her learning needs, and the stage she is at, and this has helped us all as many people have said that they have seen an improvement in P.

My daughter started with Leapeducate in 2020 during lockdown and have seen a great improvement. She looks forward to her class and is ready and logged in before time. I have had excellent feedback which I did not have with previous tutors and really helped her with confidence levels.

My Aayush (Age 9, year 4) started tuition with Daniel from LEAPeducate Jan 2021. Aayush & Daniel have a really good rapport with each other and I feel this has greatly benefited my sons progress and confidence. Since my first conversation with Parita, I have felt a real connection with her. Parita’s passion to teach, diligence and professionalism is second to none. It was evident from the start how much she cares about the individual child and that shows not just in the delivery of their lessons but also in the conversations she has with the children. Parita built a strong relationship with my son and in a short space of time she was able to identify his strengths and more importantly his weaknesses accurately. Parita Patel from LEAP delivered 2 very helpful workshops for parents on how better to help/guide their children for the year 2 SATS. The workshops were simple yet very informative and can definitely say I feel more equipped and confident in helping my little girl. The most useful part I would say was examples of questions which may be given as well as how many papers for each subject (Maths & English) and length of papers. As a working parent life is tough and fitting things in is a challenge hence why I feel these are very worthwhile workshops. Thank you LEAP.
