SATs Boosters are weekly workshops designed specifically to build children’s confidence, consolidate school learning and fill in any gaps.
What is SATs Boosters?
SATs Boosters is an online weekly group workshop for Year 6 children. Great for children needing to consolidate their learning or looking for an extra confidence boost ahead of their exams in May.
Sessions will boost confidence in Arithmetic, Reasoning, Reading comprehension skills and SPaG (Spelling, Punctuation and Grammar) with an experienced, qualified teacher- It will consist of a supportive and small working group
- In-depth coverage of the subject areas
- Building confidence in subject knowledge and through peer support
- Exam strategies
- Dedicated question and answer time within each session
- Children will consolidate their understanding of core subjects through skills-based learning.
- More than just the academic development, implementing a growth mindset approach will foster confidence in learning.
When does it take place?
New cohort starting in September 2025 . Children will be taken through every element of the KS2 SATs curriculum, as well as given handy hints and strategies for the exams. In the meantime download our free SAT’s revision guide.
What’s on offer for 2025/26?
As well as our full course, this year we will also be offering:
- Subject specific sessions: You have the option to book English or Maths sessions only.
- A dedicated workbook: Which will be sent to you next week ahead of the session 😊
- Ad-hoc individual sessions: If you feel that your child only needs one or two sessions, you can just book the ones you want!
- Transition Sessions: Integrated support for a seamless step into Secondary school
- Online Courses: To complete at your own convenience

Autumn 1 – Step into Year 6 with Confidence
Online course (self-paced)
- Transition from Year 5 to Year 6 at your own convenience
- Year 5 Maths and English curriculum skills to reinforce the Year 5 learning objects
- Introduction to year 6 curriculum and learning objectives
- Maths reasoning and Reading comprehension strategies
- Teaching, guidance and tips by qualified primary teachers

Autumn 2 – Elevate to Greater Depth
(live teaching)
- Live Maths and English sessions taught by an experienced primary teacher (year 5/6 specialist)
- Maths: arithmetic and reasoning skills
- English: Reading comprehension analysis and SPaG (Spelling, Punctuation and Grammar) knowledge
- Steady pace to introduce year 6 concepts and strategies
- Elevate to secure to greater depth understanding
- Maths and English sessions to boost both skills (Thursdays 5pm)
Spring Term – KS2 SATS Boosters
- Live English and Maths sessions which will boost confidence in Arithmetic, Reasoning, Reading comprehension skills and SPaG (Spelling, Punctuation and Grammar).
- Taught by two experienced, qualified teachers – a Year 5/6 specialist and a SATs marker (35 years collectively)
- It will consist of small supportive groups (limited to 8 students per group)
- Flexibility: Separate Maths and English sessions to boost both skill sets
- (English: Tuesdays 5pm & Maths: Thursdays 5pm)
- In-depth coverage of the subject areas including exam tips and strategies
- Building confidence in subject knowledge and through peer collaboration
- Dedicated Q &A time within each session
- Children will consolidate their understanding of core subjects through skills-based learning.
- Elevate to secure and greater depth understanding
- Consistent pace to embed learning concepts and strategies
- Wider holistic teaching underpinning our core values to support your child in their Year 6 and SATS journey (to avoid cramming, panic or anxiety)

The statutory key stage 2 SATs dates will be held 11 – 14 May 2026.
Monday 11 May 2026: English Grammar, Punctuation and Spelling: Paper 1: Grammar and Punctuation, 45 minutes
Monday 11 May 2026: English Grammar, Punctuation and Spelling: Paper 2: Spelling, 20 minutes
Tuesday 12 May 2026: English Reading, 60 minutes
Wednesday 13 May 2026: Mathematics Paper 1: Arithmetic, 30 minutes
Wednesday 13 May 2026: Mathematics Paper 2: Reasoning, 40 minutes
Thursday 14 May 2026: Mathematics Paper 3: Reasoning, 40 minutes
